Bringing the North back on tour maps.
The global political situation and economical pressure are challenging the traditional tour models. International artists are harder to book especially to the Nordics and tours rarely reach Finland and the edges of Europe.
While the live music industry is struggling with international artists' availability and tour prices, it has become important to collaborate regionally and to recognise local specialities. Could live music industries in the Nordics and Baltic regions work together even tighter and stronger? What could we all do to make touring in the North better working and financially sustainable?
This program analyses the current stage of international touring and discusses the reasons behind change. In addition the question is does the live music industry want to bring back international content to their programs. Professionals working with international artists and experts in the Nordics' and the Baltic region's live industry will be taking part in the conversation.
The discussion is held by live music industry organisation LiveFIN in collaboration with European Union's funded project Nordic Baltic Ecosystem. The discussion will be in English.
