Safer Space in Music x Media

Music x Media is committed to preventing discrimination, harassment, bullying, and violence in all its forms. Music x Media pledges to adhere to the principles of a safer space. The safer space guidelines apply to all parties participating in the event, including the audience, volunteers, speakers, performers, employees, and partners.

By registering for and participating in the event, you accept the event's values, the safer space principles in place, and commit to following them throughout the event.

If you encounter or observe behavior that contradicts our values or the safer space principles during the event, please report it immediately to a security officer, the equality and harassment contact person, or other staff members. The equality and harassment contact person assists in addressing harassment situations, and all matters will be handled confidentially.

Safer space principles:

  • Please respect others' personal space and autonomy. You cannot know someone's boundaries without asking: do not touch others without their permission, and feel free to ask for space when needed.
  • Please speak to and about others with respect.
  • Refrain from making assumptions based on appearance or behavior, such as about sexuality, gender, ethnicity, values, or health.
  • Make space for others. Be mindful of everyone’s opportunity to participate in the conversation with their own opinions. Respect others' boundaries regarding privacy, and handle sensitive topics with care.
  • Listen and learn. We can all discover new interests and perspectives from one another. Be open to finding something new.
  • Apologize if you have offended others, whether intentionally or unintentionally.
  • Intervene. We encourage you to contact the equality and harassment contact person, security staff, or other personnel if you notice behavior that contradicts our values and principles.

A harassment contact person will be available at the event.
