Music x Media

Junna is a folk dance duo in which Finnish tradition merges with a modern club sound
prioritizing reefability. The union of synth pads, electric violin, and tradition brings together the folk music crowd and the club scene
into the same dance circle.

The musical journey of Anna Haaraoja, from the Central Ostrobothnia region, led from classical singing and the violin towards to
folk music, through which she found her own voice. Juha Seppänen, originally from Suomussalmi
is a Master of Techno-Art who knew what he wanted to do when he grew up after discovering his older brother's
eurodance collection.

Junna has released singles, an EP and two albums. Aena rankkoo, released in March 2025,
has been played on numerous domestic and international radio stations and has taken the duo from Europe to Japan.
The collaboration with the globally acclaimed video game Road to Vostok, which began in 2025, has
brought the duo more international attention.

Junna has performed extensively in Finland, including at Kaustinen, Qstock and Folklandia. The duo's
international premiere took place in Bourges, France, in 2024. The following year
while touring Japan, Junna showcased Finnish tradition by performing both concerts and
Finnish folk dance workshops in collaboration with the Folk Show Crew.
Junna is a living tradition; music where folklore meets the healing power of frequencies below
80 hertz.
