The Industry Awards gala, held in conjunction with Music x Media, has been honoring accomplished professionals in the music industry since 1995. Finland’s most significant awards ceremony for music industry professionals will be held at Tampere Hall on Friday, October 4, 2024.
The nomination process for award categories is now open, and you can propose a candidate who has impressed you until August 9, 2024. Awards will be presented in four categories at the Industry Awards gala: media, label, live, and general.

Comprehensive and high-quality nominations are a crucial part of the entire selection process. Nominating requires the respondent to do some background research. Please note that the quantity of proposals per entity during the nomination phase does not matter. What matters most is the quality and well-reasoned background information about the candidate and why they should be awarded. You can also nominate yourself. It is important to pay attention to diversity in backgrounds, positions, and geography when making nominations.
The period under review (comparison period) is primarily August 2023 to July 2024.
”The recognition given to music industry professionals since 1995 is a valuable tribute to the high-quality and creative work done for the benefit of music. The purpose of the Industry Awards is to honor the work of the entire sector, which is important for Finland, and its diverse creators and players,” says Jani Jalonen, CEO of Music x Media.
The final lists of candidates will be set by public juries for each category, based on the nominations. The same jury will both nominate candidates and provide their opinion on the winner. This year, winners will be selected based on a 50/50 power balance between public voting and jury decisions.
