Values as a Leadership Compass
Values are easy to record in a strategy: more difficult is to make them a reality in everyday management. How are the organization's values reflected in decision-making, in the meetings with the personnel and in the working methods of the work community? And how can values support management when there are difficult choices or conflicting goals?
The session is introduced by a Doctor of Music and Aalto University's postdoctoral researcher Pauliina Valtasaari, who studies the management of arts organizations and has long worked on issues regarding musicians' well-being, professional support, and a humanly sustainable organizational culture. The presentation examines how values are translated from words into action and integrated into the everyday practice of leadership.
Following the introductory presentation, the topic will be explored in greater depth through a panel discussion covering various perspectives. The panelists will be announced later.
