At the DJ All Levels workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in Darude’s DJ Masterclass! Additionally, an intriguing talk on marketing & social media has been added to the event’s speaking program, and the speakers for the “Introduction to the Music Industry” session have now been announced.

 

DJing Masterclass with Darude by Vibing Out

In this masterclass, you’ll get a glimpse into the mind and methods of Darude, a pioneer of electronic dance music. Darude will cover what it’s like to be an international touring DJ in the 2020s. The session will delve into both the basics and the technical and artistic sides of his performances, including his track selection process, mixing style, and the equipment he uses. Additionally, Darude will share how he maintains his mental health amidst hectic touring and performance schedules.

Vibing Out is an independent record label founded by Darude, a Finnish electronic dance music producer and artist. Vibing Out emphasizes community as its core concept. As an electronic music label, it ambitiously strives to develop new impactful music, adopt new technologies, challenge trends, and support artists with honesty and transparency.

No pre-registration required. The masterclass will be in both Finnish and English.

 

How should music be marketed, and how do you earn from it? 

Social media and the digital world have taken music distribution to a new level—publishing music is easy, and you can find your own fan base through social media.

This discussion will cover the various sources of income available to music creators today and what to consider when marketing your music. It will explore how to create engaging and emotional social media content around your releases and the best ways to stand out from the crowd and find new audiences. Join us to hear expert tips and ask your own questions!

Introduction to the Music Industry 

Come and discover the diverse opportunities and players in the music industry! Who works in the industry, and what kinds of organizations are involved?

This discussion will illustrate how many different people and entities can be involved in an artist’s career. What is A&R? Who helps with an international career? Who is needed in live productions? This pitch-style presentation answers these questions in a concise format: an example artist’s journey from their first recording contract to live productions and potential international exposure. Whether you’re an artist or someone interested in career opportunities in the music industry, this session is for you!
After the session, the speakers will be available in the event spaces to answer any questions.
