Lost In Music, Finland’s premier showcase festival, is adding more than 20 new artists and bands to its growing program. This year’s line-up brings to the event both the hottest artists of the day and new, emerging names from a wide range of genres – Paperi T, Etta, Lauri Haav, Turmion Kätilöt, Lähiöbotox, Business City, Bämä, Good Boys, Knife Girl, Virta, Tuomo & Markus, Emilia Sisco, Ville Veikka and many other current artists will be seen on stage. New events will also be added on sale, both for familiar and new Lost In Music venues.
The legendary Tullikamari venue in Tampere will host a new Lost In Music Thursday night of hard-hitting Finnish pop, rap and alternative music, featuring Paperi T, who made his long-awaited return to the stage, Etta, who made Finnish rap history with her latest album, international attention attracted Knife Girl and Joalin and Yrjänä, who were added to the Lost In Music roster earlier this spring. Tullikamari’s Friday (ABREU, Bee) is strengthened by Lauri Haav, who charms with his delicate and melancholic sound, and the female rap collective Bämä, who have gathered deserved attention with their poignant lyrics. The rap collective Good Boys, with an ever-growing audience, will also complement the Saturday hip hop spectacle at Tullikamari, which will be headlined by Gettomasa. New Lost In Music venue Tavara-asema will host a special heavy music night on Friday 6.10., with Finnish industrial metal band Turmion Kätilöt and the increasingly popular Lähiöbotox and Stoned Statues. The already released indie spectacle at Tavara-asema on Thursday will be joined by energetic rock band Moon Shot.
On the opening day on Wednesday, G Livelab will host a quality and diverse roots-esque night with Tuomo & Markus, Emilia Sisco and ONEVIOLIN, while on Friday, the same venue will have the Lapland-Balkan band Jaakko Laitinen & Väärä raha take on the stage. The Thursday metal night at Olympia will be complemented by Shereign, alongside Bloodred Hourglass and One Morning Left. The same evening will also see the introduction of distorted guitars at Hönö, a first-time festival venue, with promising rock newcomers St. Aurora and rock band from hell. The launch will be capped off by an evening of alternative electronic music on Friday at Olympia, with acid techno group Business City and VIRTA, a skilful blend of electronic music and jazz, as the first announced acts. Saturday’s heavy music night will see the addition of post metal band Besra at Yo-talo.
Jesse Markin, who has been making an impact on the domestic music scene for years and known across Europe as a powerful live performer and Ville Veikka with his soft voice and strong lyrics, will also join Lost In Music’s diverse lineup of artists.
With the new announcements, Lost In Music already has more than ten separate event nights available for sale, as well as several wristband combinations for different days, not to mention a wristband for the entire four-day festival.
