As we return to business after the summer holidays, Music x Media is excited to unveil a series of inspiring new programs focused on emerging business opportunities through creative collaboration and hands-on experiences. One of the highlights is our exploration of AI’s potential to enhance human creativity. Additionally, music creators will have a unique chance to showcase their work to international music supervisors through our GetSynced! and Score workshops.

We are thrilled to announce that Kadine James, Global Head of Innovation at Artificial Rome, will be joining our event on Wednesday, October 2nd. The day’s theme, Music x Collaboration, will feature Kadine James discussing how strategic partnerships can drive growth, align artistic vision with business goals, and establish measurable outcomes. Another exciting addition to the Music x Collaboration lineup is the Get Synced! workshop, offering a rare opportunity for participants to present their work to music supervisors and receive valuable feedback.

Music x Media will also feature an AI-themed segment with a hands-on approach. Don’t miss our inspiring co-writing session where top songwriters will conduct a session with AI as a creative partner – not leading, but supporting the process.

We’ll explore the dynamic relationship between technology, creativity, and craftsmanship, highlighting how AI is becoming a powerful ally in the creative process. Tommi Kortesniemi from the marketing agency Sherpa will guide us on how to scale creativity with the help of AI.

Scaling Creativity with AI
Tommi Kortesniemi, Creative Director, Sherpa

This presentation delves into the living relationship between technology, creativity, and craftsmanship, exploring how Artificial Intelligence is becoming a powerful ally in the creative process. This presentation will focus on how AI can augment human creativity, not replace it, and how it can elevate artistic expression.

We will explore the synergy between AI and traditional creative practices, showing how technology can enhance the creative process by automating repetitive tasks, generating new ideas, and providing tools that expand the creative toolkit. Through case studies and real-world examples, you will see how artists, creators and marketers are using AI to push the boundaries of their craft, blending technology with human intuition and skill. You will also hear inspiring case examples of Sherpa’s transformation as an organization and creative community.

Get Synced! Workshop

Get Synced! Workshop is an opportunity to present yourself and your catalogue to music supervisors and hear their feedback. Participants of Get Synced! will learn about the music supervisors’ projects beforehand and can select the right songs from their catalogue to be played in the workshop groups for feedback.

Get Synced! Workshop has proven resultful in the previous years: for example, a song by vocal group Tuuletar was licensed for a Game of Thrones trailer in Central Europe and another by pop band feelswithcaps to the Netflix show Tiny Pretty Things after their presentations at the workshop.

Pre-registering required. The workshop can accommodate a maximum of twelve participants. In order to participate in the workshop, you must have a valid Music x Media ticket.

We will notify the applicants selected for the workshop on the first week of September.

Co-write with AI
Jurek Reunamäki, Noraturi, Tomi Saario, AI

This is your unique opportunity to follow a songwriting session as a fly in the roof when Finland’s top songwriters Jurek Reunamäki, Noraturi and Tomi Saario collaborate with AI to write a song in front of a live audience.

In the first part you get to follow the beginning of their session from who are they writing for to how they begin from scratch. The writers break out for a few hours and come back to present what they did, explaining what their own role was and what was AI. What can and can’t the currently in-use AI applications do for songwriters and how would songwriters like to use AI? This session is moderated by Katariina Sorsa.

Score! Workshop

At Score! Workshop, film and media composers have an opportunity to introduce themselves to international music supervisors and get a chance for feedback. Pre-registering required. The workshop can accommodate a maximum of eight composers. In order to participate in the workshop, you must have a valid Music x Media ticket.
