Occupational safety manager, Taideyliopisto
Jyri Pulkkinen has a master’s degree in Dance and he has worked as a dancer in the Helsinki City Theater’s Dance Group from 1987 to 1995. After attending the performing arts producer training he worked as a producer in the group until 2003, when he then started as the director of the opetusteatteri. During those years he also worked in many positions of trust in the theater and dance industry and in cultural organizations in the field, e.g. as chairman of the board of the Dance Info Finland 1998–2008.
At Teatterikorkeakoulu, the duties of the occupational health and safety manager belonged to him from the beginning along with other work, but after the establishment of Teatterikorkeakoulu, their share in the duties gradually increased. In 2018, taking care of occupational well-being measures and occupational health care cooperation was added to his responsibilities, and from 2021 he has worked as the full-time occupational health and safety manager of the Teatterikorkeakoulu.
