Since his narrow escape from the claws of the legal profession in 2005, Hans Peter has been a key player in the content and online music industry, first in Europe and now also the United States where his company, Muserk, just made the Inc 5000 list for the third year in a row.
Before joining Muserk, Hans Peter ran the Nordic Societies’ licensing hub before he – as he says it – worked his way up into the back and middle office part of the industry. This extensive experience from the front, middle and back office parts of the business in the European and US markets has given Hans Peter an in-depth and unique understanding of the publishing business and society world and their underlying rights flow, repertoire/copyright disputes, and data volumes and value, and how it all impacts the online music value chain.
Hans Peter is often seen on industry panels or making key notes about the global online music industry for e.g. CISAC, Music Biz, Slush and other conferences.
As a DDEX veteran, Hans Peter has worked with both the DSR working group and has for years been part of the DDEX Technical Management Group.
Finally, Hans Peter was one of the original people behind the Technical Online Working Group Europe (”TOWGE”) and currently serves as the Chair of the Steering Committee for TOWGE.
When not buried in the details of rights flow and copyright data, Hans Peter maintains his high-level perspective on business and life in the skies above Denmark in his glider plane – if not out officiating American Football games in the Danish National League.
