Music and moving images have always belonged together. As art forms, they are closely knitted together. On the business side of things, synch is seen as increasingly as an important area of monetary source and content making is part of feeding the ever-craving social media beast. But how can musicians and filmmakers nurture an even closer collaboration and find paths of fulfilling co-creations?
In this presentation, we see case studies of innovative collaborations and examples of new emphasizes within media and entertainment companies where labels are thinking beyond the music video. Anna Hildur is a music export veteran having led the foundation of Iceland Music Export and NOMEX (Nordic Music Export Programme). She is an award-winning filmmaker and currently a full-time assistant professor and programme-leader of Creative Industries Studies at the University of Bifröst, Iceland.
