As it is known, streaming has impacted the distribution and consumption of music and audiovisual works. Streaming services have shaped both industries and created whole new economic structures, which were not foreseen in the early years of leading streaming services. The panel will focus on how to get the most out of streaming. What are the pitfalls and unharnessed opportunities of the current distribution paradigm from the authors’ or performers’ perspective? The well-being of these domains is closely tied to the flourishing distribution and the other way around.
