The Tampere Music Award is awarded yearly to an international music industry influencer who has left their mark on the development of the field. The Tampere Music Award 2023 has been awarded to Paul Spraggon, a legendary lawyer in the music industry. This award, presented on Friday, September 29, 2023, marks the thirteenth Tampere Music Award granted in collaboration by the City of Tampere and Music x Media.<\/b><\/p>\n

Paul Spraggon, the legendary music industry lawyer and also a half Finn, grew up in the heart of the indie music culture during the 1970s and 1980s. Nowadays he is particularly renowned as a long-standing lawyer in the music industry, having represented many prominent names over the years, including <\/span>Adele<\/b>, <\/span>Ellie Goulding, Lana Del Rey<\/b>,<\/span> The Clash<\/b>, <\/span>The Prodigy<\/b>, <\/span>Headie One<\/b>, <\/span>Rag\u2019n’Bone Man<\/b>, and <\/span>Dua Lipa.<\/b> He has also helped the careers of many Finnish artists, such as <\/span>Lxandra<\/b>, <\/span>Isac Elliot<\/b>, and <\/span>Joalin<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Paul Spraggon <\/span>is deeply committed to his work and sees people and music at the core of the music industry. <\/span>The business is always a challenge and helping the talent fulfill their potential is still Spraggon\u2019s greatest driver.<\/span> His aim is to establish long-lasting partnerships, and he has worked together with several of his clients, including Adele and The Prodigy, from the early stages of their careers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, Spraggon serves as a partner at SSB law firm, specializing in media and entertainment law. SSB was established 23 years ago to support independent artists, and other creative professionals.<\/span><\/p>\n

Paul Spraggon’s accomplishments and collaborations with world-famous artists have rightfully earned him the title of Tampere Music Award winner for 2023.
