Walk of Fame Finland, in Tampere, will once again have new stars, and the public can nominate their own favourites via an online form from 22 April to 18 May 2025. The Walk of Fame, opened to the birthplace of Manserock, celebrates key players in the Finnish and international music industry.<\/i><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Walk of Fame will get more stars this autumn, when the public will be able to nominate new music stars for the pavement. The voting period is from 22 April to 18 May 2025, and the online voting form can be found as a link at the end of this article.<\/p>\n

Opened in 2019, Walk of Fame is located in the Tulli area on \u00c5kerlundinkatu near Tampere House. Every year, 3-8 new stars are added to the Walk of Fame based on the public’s suggestions.<\/p>\n

The public can nominate anyone who has influenced or is influencing the industry, such as artists, bands, musicians, lyricists, composers, music producers and representatives of organisations and institutions.<\/p>\n

The stars of the Walk of Fame are made up of a variety of musical styles and areas of activity in the music sector. Diversity, nationality and equality are taken into account in the selection process.<\/p>\n

The stars will be announced on Friday 19.9.2025.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Based on the nominations received from the public, the Music x Media Board will propose the new stars and the final decision will be taken by the City of Tampere Culture and Leisure Board. The stars will be announced on Friday 19.9.2025 one week before the Music x Media Industry Awards gala.<\/p>\n

Last year, Kaj Chydenius, Pave Maijanen, PMMP, Aino Ackt\u00e9, Toivo K\u00e4rki, Jaakko Ryh\u00e4nen, Juhani Merimaa and Virve Rosti got their own star on Walk of Fame.<\/p>\n

In previous years, Vesa-Matti ”Vesku” Loiri, HIM, Santtu-Matias Rouvali, Kikka, Antti Tuisku, Maija Vilkkumaa, Anna-Mari K\u00e4h\u00e4r\u00e4, Jean Sibelius, Kaija Saariaho, Juice Leskinen, Popeda, Cheek, Katri Helena, Epe Helenius, Tapio Korjus, Eppu Normaali, Nightwish, Karita Mattila, Ismo Alanko, Paula Koivuniemi, Mikko Alatalo, Y\u00f6, V\u00e4rttin\u00e4, Kaija Koo, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Jaakko Kuusisto, Hanoi Rocks, Erja Lyytinen, Heikki Salo and Marion Rung have all been awarded their own stars.<\/p>\n

The Walk of Fame is a collaboration between the City of Tampere, Tampere-talo, Bauer Media and Music x Media.<\/p>\n
