Tapio Hakanen is the Head of Music for YleX and UMK. In his role, Tapio is responsible for selecting artists for UMK, curating the YleX radio playlist, and overseeing artist choices and content for various Yle events, such as YleX Läpimurto and Kesäkumi. Outside of Yle, he has had a 30-year career as an electronic music artist under the name DJ Orkidea, performing over 2,000 gigs across six continents and amassing over 40 million streams, along with a number-one spot on Finland's official chart.
