Make me a human - Samuli Putro tells about music, success and its uncertainty. Interviewer Jenni Pääskysaari.
In early 2025, artist and songwriter Samuli Putro published his autobiographical book, “The Men of My Life”. In the book, Putro talks personally and openly about the themes that have shaped him into the man he is today. We continue discussion with Samuli Putro about this process and also bring in the influence of music and the music industry on Putro's growth as a person, an artist, a songwriter and a musician. The discussion also touches on success, its conditions and contradictions. Samuli Putro will be interviewed by journalist and writer Jenni Pääskysaari.

Music makers' hour: Can a music maker take a stand?
Can a song change the world - or even a mind? Or should a music maker take a stand on social phenomena, human pain points or current debates? Is taking a stand a trend, a duty or a risk?
In this debate, we look at the power and responsibility of music: what issues do songwriters take a stand on and how? Why do some artists choose to remain silent while others raise difficult issues?
The panel will bring together a long-time lyricist and now also a musician Saara Törmä, musician and music writer Rosa Jules from Lala Salama fame, and Samae Koskinen, musician, music writer and artist. The discussion will be moderated by singer-songwriter Jojo "Johanna" von Hertzen, who is also coordinator of the Finnish Music Creators’ Association.
The discussion is organised by the Finnish Music Creators’ Association.
The crossroads of concert productions: How can gigs be more profitable for all involved?
How would it be possible for the industry to be more profitable? With the restaurant industry in dire straits, many gigs are also being cancelled. This has created a vicious circle that automatically leads to self-produced tours from the point of view of both programme agencies and artists. In particular, the rising costs and cost structures of concert halls and large live tours have led to a situation where it is often no longer economically viable to do a gig.
Why should the financial risk of a tour not be borne by the person who decides who sells the tickets for the tour? Why is it often more profitable for the risk-taker to hold a concert in a sports hall than in a concert hall built for the purpose?
The debate is organised by the Finnish Programme Offices and Agents Association, SOA.
